In 1972, Victor, a native of Baltimore, Maryland was inspired to join the civil rights struggles of the people of the Mississippi Delta and the Deep South by moving to Greenville, Mississippi to practice law. Victor would win acclaim, disdain and notoriety pursuing claims for hundreds of people in cases involving voting rights, employment discrimination, housing discrimination, constitutional law. Over a 38 year career, Victor would participate in some of the largest and most controversial trials, disputes and settlements in American legal history. He has received awards for his legal service to the people of Mississippi and this country from groups as diverse as the N.A.A.C.P., Operation PUSH, the National Negro College Fund and the Mississippi Supreme Court. Today, Victor and his wife Dee, still live in their homes in Mississippi and Florida. The McTeers’ son, Marcus is a resident of Owings Mills, Maryland. Their daughter, Heather, is Mayor of Greenville, Mississippi.
In 2009, Victor retired from the life of a trial lawyer in order to follow a life long passion photography and to create a collection of images capturing the joy and artistry of the human spirit throughout the world. Victor is available for event, portrait, sports, design and corporate assignments anywhere in the world.
